Tyne Coast College – Attracting Talent Into Engineering

AMF visits Tyne Coast College, South Shields to discuss how we as a sector, attract the best future talent into manufacturing, and engineering.

The skills shortage in the engineering sector is a huge issue for all employers and we must do all we can to attract young people into engineering careers by highlighting how attractive the opportunities on offer are, and the vast amount of job roles.

We will hear from the local manufacturers about how they plan to engage, and attract the workforce of tomorrow. The college engineering department will update on their latest initiatives. We will be joined by engineering students to allow them to hear from, and network with local employers and we will have a tour of the marine college as well as take a ride on the marine simulator.
