Making Owt – Sunderland City Hall, plus social event
From the new award-winning City Hall (12 months old is still new) to the Maker & Faber buildings, Culture House, Eye Infirmary, housing, hotel, bars & restaurants (that’s just the centre of the city) to the IAMP in Washington, Seaburn sea front, Port of Sunderland, there is so much development in Sunderland that we know you will want to hear about it and the potential opportunities it may bring for you.
We will be hosting a festive styled event whilst still delivering a good bit of gen too! No to be confused with Gentoo (a penguin, or the Sunderland based housing group).
We will be hosted in the mayor’s parlour, giving a great view across the developments that are taking place in the city. We will then be visiting a couple of Sunderland’s great pubs, soaking in the festive atmosphere and enjoying a tipple or two and some food (probably pizza).
Agenda:
14:00 – Meeting at City Hall – Mayor’s parlour (hopefully we will have permission to give you some fizz) – Canapes.
14:30 – Introductions, Sunderland, Sunderland, Sunderland!
15:20 – Christmas music, best jumper (or Christmas clothing) competition (more fizz if we’ve got the aforementioned permission). Perhaps some games too.
16:00 – Pub!
Please note, 2pm – 7pm is just for guidance. You can, of course leave or stay, as long as you like!
Christmas jumpers, shirts, skirts, dresses, hats, earrings, shoes, scarves, and whatever else, are all very much encouraged.
