Making Owt

Making Owt – Manufacturer Matchmaking Exhibition

‘Making Owt’ is an AMF initiative which facilitates and champions collaboration and growth within the North East manufacturing and engineering sector and supports businesses in strengthening their regional supply chain.

With the ultimate aim of encouraging local collaborations, Making Owt provides members with a platform to come together and network with each other. From forging strong relationships, to identifying opportunities and sourcing new suppliers, our team of industry experts will work closely with you to understand your objectives and needs and will provide you with bespoke support to help you meet those requirements.

As part of the exhibition, we will have a presentation and ‘meet the buyer’ style event with Port of Tyne, Dogger Bank (Equinor), Port of Sunderland. More will be added to this list.

Exhibition is open to manufacturing & engineering companies only. Spaces are limited to 50 max. First come basis.

Member price is £150.

Non-member price is £250 (if you become a member, this will be discounted to the member rate above, plus we will deliver some PR to promote your membership with AMF)

The exhibition will start off with a breakfast networking session – Making Owt in 60 seconds. This is your opportunity to give your fun and informative elevator pitch to targeted potential suitors allowing you to identify companies that you feel can support you or you can support them.

Following the Making Owt in 60 seconds session, you will let the AMF know who has sparked your interest and we’ll arrange the rest. No need to embarrass yourself with the worry of rejection!

After lunch, we will organise short 5-minute 1-2-1 meetings with interested parties and the rest will be up to you.

This exhibition is exclusive to the AMF members and invited manufacturing, engineering, and selected supply chain guests only. We want the exhibitors and guests to make the most of being together as a member base, using this as an opportunity to find out about each other, opportunities and of course, showcase your company, without the distraction of individuals who won’t add value.

The exhibition will be hosted at Jarrow Hall, where space is limited however we do want you to bring along your pop-up banners, products, marketing materials, etc, so you can showcase your organisation. The stand spaces will be approximately 6 feet, with a table and tablecloth included, if needed, if you feel this space won’t accommodate your needs please just let us know.
