Technology Forum

AR, VR, HUGE Screens, plus some food, networking and tour and presentation of some of the latest technology available.

“Roads. Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.”

Well, we do as you will most likely use one to get to the venue but, please do join us for this trip into the future!

In November, as part of our AMF Technology Forum, we will be host by PROTO in Gateshead and taking a tour of their ‘immersive lab’. They have taken (or by the time we get there they ‘will’ have) delivery of some new kit and they’d like us to have a go.

Established by Digital Catapult Centre NETV, the Immersive Lab (one of only four in the UK) offers companies access to bleeding-edge hardware and innovative software across AR, VR and mixed-reality. With technical staff on hand to support, businesses can explore technology, take part in an Introduction to Immersive workshop or hire the Lab to develop or demo their own content.

Housed in PROTO’s R&D space, and part of the Digital Catapult network, the Immersive Lab was established to support businesses to explore the real-life application of immersive technology. The Lab offers access to Virtual Reality (VR) headsets, Augmented Reality (AR) devices like the Hololens, photogrammetry equipment and a Virtual Production Studio.
