“We welcome the UK Government’s new Industrial Strategy and the long-term vision it brings to our sector.For too long, manufacturers have operated without a coherent national plan — this marks a positive step toward restoring the stability, clarity, and strategic direction the sector urgently needs.Long-term industrial policy is fundamental to sustained economic development, and we particularly welcome the focus on advanced manufacturing, skills, and innovation.At the Advanced Manufacturing Forum, we look forward to working with both local and national government to ensure the collective voice of North East manufacturers is heard and acted upon. Our members are ready to play their part in delivering on the ambitions set out — but delivery must follow words, and clarity must follow ambition.”
