NORTHERN POWERHOUSE INTRODUCTION TO IRELAND – OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW EXPORTERS

The Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with the British Irish Chamber of Commerce, is delighted to invite businesses from across the Northern Powerhouse to join a free interactive webinar to explore new trading opportunities in the Irish Market.

Geographical proximity to the UK, with a common language, close cultural and economic links, as well as numerous excellent transport connections by sea and air, make Ireland an ideal target market for first time exporters. Our panel of experts will highlight the attractiveness of the Irish market for new exporters and discuss the post-Brexit dynamics for doing business with Irish customers and the key considerations about investing into the Irish market.

Why join?

• Overview of the opportunities in the Irish market
• Learn how to formulate a market entry strategy for success
• Find out about the barriers and common pitfalls facing new exporters
• Hear first-hand accounts from experienced exporters to Ireland

Who’s it for?

Ireland is a good place for UK businesses to start exporting for the first time, as business practices, laws, systems of finance and broader culture are similar to the UK. This webinar is designed for ambitious Northern Powerhouse businesses, who are new to exporting, and are looking to hear about the opportunities available in the Irish market.

This webinar is a precursor to a Northern Powerhouse trade mission to Ireland, which is planned to take place in February 2022*. More information on the mission programme will be made available during the webinar.

*Subject to travel restrictions

Please note this event is only open to registered businesses based in The Northern Powerhouse interested in trading internationally or wanting to learn more about the service Department for International Trade North East. You may be contacted prior to the event to assess eligibility.
