MANUFACTURING MARKET SET TO ENCOURAGE SECTOR GROWTH
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our first interactive procurement event, which aims to encourage growth within the region’s manufacturing sector.
Manufacturers are invited to join the Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF) as we host The Manufacturing Market – a fully interactive and facilitated procurement event – at Jarrow Hall, Tyne and Wear on 15 November 2017.
The event will invite attendees to describe their main products or services and discuss their most pressing business needs – helping them to identify potential customers and suppliers who meet their requirements, as well as provide ample networking opportunities.
Ian Fawdon, chairman of the AMF, said: “This event is an excellent opportunity for North East manufacturers and it will provide valuable growth opportunities. We expect spaces to fill fast and we already have renowned companies such as Siemens and Northumbrian Water signed up.
“Our aim is to continually provide AMF members with services and advice that will help their businesses grow and respond to industry changes and demands. Promoting and encouraging growth opportunities for the manufacturing sector is a core objective for the AMF – therefore I am delighted that we are hosting our first procurement event.”
Jack Hanwell, manufacturing sector development manager, said of the event: “The AMF continually strives to encourage collaboration and growth within the region’s manufacturing industry. This event will provide attendees with the opportunity to expand their network through meeting both potential customers and suppliers, promoting their product or service and ultimately growing their businesses.
“We originally launched as the South Tyneside Forum, however in 2014 we rebranded to the Advanced Manufacturing Forum to reflect our growing influence across the North East. We are delighted to host our first procurement event in South Tyneside – returning to our roots where the forum originally launched and where we have an exceptionally strong industry presence.”
