KATY SUE DESIGNS SHORTLISTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Craft and cake decorating products manufacturer, Katy Sue Designs has been shortlisted for the Export Award in the North East Business Awards’ Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside heat.

The North East Business Awards are staged by The Journal and The Gazette in association with the North East England Chamber of Commerce and a host of sponsors.

Held across 12 categories, the awards shine a light on North East businesses of all sizes and celebrate local innovation and success. The awards are highly competitive and attract submissions from some of the region’s leading businesses including Beamish Museum, Barbour and Hays Travel.

Commenting on the shortlist, Sue Balfour, Managing Director of Katy Sue Designs, said: “We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted in the Export Award category. This is due to our increased manufacturing from the UK, and our ambitious growth throughout the USA and Europe.

“In the last year here at Katy Sue Designs, we have tripled our revenue and increased our workforce by almost a third. It’s a very exciting time for us here, and we are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for 2019’s Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside Business Award.”

The winner will be announced at the Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside Business Awards dinner, Thursday 14th March at Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham.
