HYDRAULIC AND OFFSHORE SUPPLIES EXPANDS ITS TEAM

AMF member, Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies (HOS) has expanded its team further with the recruitment of two apprentices.

HOS is a specialist supplier of hose, fittings, instrumentation, and pipeline materials, supporting a widespread customer base. Initially set up in Sunderland, HOS was strategically positioned between the three rivers to support the marine and offshore sectors. However, due to high demand for its services the business has now grown and developed to encompass engineering-led sectors such as automotive, power generation, and food and drink on a national and international basis.

To support its continual growth, HOS has recruited Lauren Harbron, who was secured through Sunderland College, as Business Development Apprentice and Ciaran Gibson, who was appointed through fellow AMF member SETA, as a Warehouse Apprentice.

Lauren said of her appointment: “I am excited to join Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies. This opportunity allows me to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills I have learnt at college, to a work environment. I am confident this will prove an invaluable step in my career.”

Ciaran also commented on his apprenticeship: “I am thrilled to join HOS. The team are extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and are providing me with training and guidance to ensure I get the most out of my apprenticeship. More importantly, I feel like I have a clear career path working at HOS.”

Caroline Lofthouse, Business Development Manager at Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies, said: “As a North East company we are committed to nurturing and growing the talent within the region, so we are truly delighted to welcome Lauren and Ciaran to our growing team.

“It is an exciting time to join HOS and I am certain that both Lauren and Ciaran will have many an opportunity to learn from the extensive knowledge and industry experience within the business. They each have a great thirst for learning and will work at the forefront of the business as we strive for further growth and success.”
