HTG LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH SENIOR APPOINTMENT

AMF member and Global IT solutions company Howell Technology Group (HTG) has appointed a business development director to strengthen its team as it builds on a period of sustained growth.

Ian Jones brings over 20 years’ experience to the South Tyneside-headquartered company, which offers a range of disruptive digital technologies and best of class products. This encompasses workspaces, application containers, cloud solutions, virtualisation, networking, IT security and professional services.

In his new role as business development director, Ian will be responsible for developing strategies and plans to drive the firm’s growth. He will also work with the senior team to identify and target new business opportunities and nurture and develop relationships with key vendors.

Prior to joining HTG, Ian held technical and sales roles for distributors, consultants and vendors, including technical and sales lead for the UK at Liquidware and European technical and sales lead at Citrix. Furthermore, he holds a number of industry qualifications from leading software providers such as Microsoft, Amazon, Nutanix, Citrix, and VMware.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian said: “I’ve known HTG for a number of years through my previous roles and have seen the company go from strength to strength. HTG is a forward-thinking business which has an excellent reputation for enabling the digital transformation of its clients by delivering world class digital solutions.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the team and feel this role has offered me a great opportunity to utilise my knowledge and experience to help drive the business forward.”
