Horizon Works bolsters creative team with new designer

AMF Strategic Partner, Horizon Works, has appointed a new graphic designer to further strengthen its creative and digital offering.

Michael Newton has joined the B2B marketing agency as a graphic designer and brings with him extensive skills in motion graphic animations as well as experience in creative design and brand creation.

Since graduating from the University of Sunderland with a BA in Graphic Communication and Design, Michael has honed his design skills in North East-based creative agencies and has also worked as in-house designer for a sports media organisation.

Horizon Works, which is based at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, Northumberland offers marketing, strategy, PR, digital and creative services. It has continued to support its customers throughout the pandemic and has seen an increased demand for its digital and design expertise, driven by businesses who wish to increase their visibility and connect with customers and prospects online.

The company champions and supports innovators in complex industries – including manufacturing, engineering, healthcare and life sciences and technology – with a full range of marketing services.

Horizon Works specialises in grasping complex technologies, products and services and translating technical information into compelling messages and campaigns on a global level.

The company’s creative services include brand development, editorial and print materials, exhibition collateral, web and digital design, animation and motion graphics.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael Newton said: “Joining Horizon Works has given me a great opportunity to apply my creative skills to a wide range of projects, which is very exciting for me.

“I’m looking forward to developing my career by working with Horizon Works’ creative and marketing specialists and applying my knowledge to supporting the many pioneering companies in our client portfolio.”

Samantha Vassallo, founder and managing director of Horizon Works, said: “Michael is a fantastic addition to our team and his expertise strengthens our existing in-house design capabilities. Working within our team Michael will have the opportunity to further develop his skills and learn within a dynamic, creative environment.

“Our clients have relied on us to help them in maintaining their momentum during the pandemic, which we have done through applying the full-suite of our marketing services. And in recent months we’ve started to see an increase in demand for our design services as more businesses have the confidence to invest in their marketing activities.”

Horizon Works’ client base includes Middlesbrough-based hydraulic engineering specialist Industrial and Marine Hydraulics; expanded metal mesh manufacturer The Expanded Metal Company; Atlas Copco Rental UK, a leading provider of temporary compressed air, power, industrial steam, and nitrogen; Koch Technology Solutions which licenses exclusive technologies in the polyester value chain; Taylor Packaging, a leading provider of intelligent and innovative packaging solutions and Tech Projects which designs and manufactures conveyors as well as fabricating material handling products and structural access solutions.
