Horizon Works announces new partnership with Innovation SuperNetwork

AMF member and B2B marketing agency, Horizon Works has underlined its support for innovative North East businesses, by joining Innovation SuperNetwork as a partner.

Innovation SuperNetwork is a ‘network of networks’ which brings together more than 50 partners and 5000+ businesses to generate fresh ideas, new market opportunities, knowledge and money to support SMEs in the North East.

Horizon Works, which is headquartered at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, offers marketing, strategy, PR, digital and creative services, and works across sectors including manufacturing, engineering, healthcare and life sciences, technology, professional services and the public sector.

Through the partnership, Horizon Works will be supporting Innovation SuperNetwork by offering marketing expertise to the SMEs it works with and will be delivering webinars and workshops as part of the network’s activities.

Horizon Works, which was founded in 2010, is joining a group of partners which includes the North East of England Process Industry Cluster, the North East Automotive Alliance, The Advanced Manufacturing Forum, Innovate UK, the Department For International Trade, Make UK, Maven Capital Partners, The Intellectual Property Office, The Engineering and Manufacturing Network, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, the North East England Chamber of Commerce and all of North East England’s universities.

The Innovation SuperNetwork’s current projects include the Climate Change Innovation Accelerator, the Rural Innovation Programme, Innovation Challenge, and an Access to Finance Programme.

It is hosting VentureFest North East on March 17, 2021. VentureFest North East is the region’s annual innovation conference, providing opportunities for regional entrepreneurs and innovative businesses to connect and network with corporates, research institutions, policy makers and investors. It’s a day filled with opportunities to collaborate, inspirational speakers and workshops.

The event will also include the North East Innovation Awards. Delivered in partnership between the SuperNetwork and RTC North, the awards celebrate the ground-breaking ideas, products and ideas to come out of the North East region.

Estelle Blanks, Executive Director at the Innovation SuperNetwork, said: “Our work centres on bringing people together. From supporting innovative businesses in accessing investment to connecting big business with innovative solutions, our role is about helping the North East deliver innovation. A key element of this is in supporting growing innovative companies in their business development, which includes providing a network of trusted support services they can turn to as they take innovative new products and services to market.

“We’re delighted to have Horizon Works join us. They have a track-record of working with ambitious and brilliant businesses, and we’ve already identified a number of opportunities where the companies we support can tap into their expertise.”

Samantha Vassallo, Managing Director of Horizon Works, said: “Innovation SuperNetwork plays a vital role in boosting collaboration, overcoming business challenges, driving innovation in our regional economy and helping visionary SMEs in the North East to realise their goals.

“We have worked with the Innovation SuperNetwork team before, having exhibited at VentureFest North East, which was a fantastic experience. We are now really excited to be working with them more closely as a partner – and supporting Innovation SuperNetwork in the valuable work it carries out for the North East’s SME community.”

The Innovation SuperNetwork is part of the North East LEP’s ambitious Innovation Strategy focused on Open Innovation and Smart Specialisation and led by the Innovation Leadership Board.
