EDM ZONE WINS PRESTIGIOUS INDUSTRY ACCOLADE
AMF member, EDM Zone has won the Manufacturing Apprenticeship / Training Scheme Award, at the Made in the North East Awards 2018.
The awards, which are organised by Insider Media, were presented at a ceremony held on 18 October 2018 at Redworth Hall. They aim to reward the North East’s manufacturing talent and skills and give local companies the opportunity to celebrate their ongoing commitment to world-class quality and excellence.
Ouseburn-based manufacturing facility, EDM Zone won the Manufacturing Apprenticeship/Training Scheme Award 2018, for its creation of 10 apprentice engineer roles in a variety of machining sectors, with the aim of introducing the younger generation to engineering in the North East.
In addition, the company was also shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award and Manufacturer of the Year Award (under £25M).
EDM Zone’s apprenticeships were also recognised earlier this year, as the company was the first engineering firm in the North East of England to win Insider Media’s Manufacturing Apprenticeship/Training Scheme Award, at the Made in the UK Conference and Dinner on 20 June 2018.
