AMF Chairman Presents Members of Cell Pack Solutions for Support with Better Health at Work Scheme
AMF Chairman, Ian Fawdon has presented two employees at AMF member company, Cell Pack Solutions for helping it achieve silver award status in the Better Health at Work Scheme.
The special recognition awards were presented to Zoe Malam and Aaron Adlington of Cell Pack Solutions when Ian was onsite for a recent tour of Cell Pack Solutions’ South Shields factory.
The Better Health at Work Award (BHWA) recognises the efforts of employers in the North East and Cumbria in addressing health issues within the workplace. It is awarded to organisations for their achievements in promoting healthy lifestyles and considering the health of their employees.
Aaron and Zoe head the Health Advocate team at Cell Pack Solutions that was put together to support employees in feeling safe within the workplace, including throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. The team support the mental and physical wellbeing of all its workers and many members will remember Cell Pack Solutions’ Health Advocate team talking about the benefits of incorporating the BHWA scheme into manufacturing at an AMF monthly meeting last year.
Eddie Czestochowski, Managing Director of Cell Pack Solutions said: “Achieving this award has taken a lot of hard work over the past 12 months, and it has been really pleasing to see the whole company behind the project. Aaron and Zoe have thanked the Health Advocate team for all their efforts throughout the process.
It was unknown to us at the time we started this work just how important the work would be when the global pandemic hit and we are now able to advocate this scheme for other manufacturers even more strongly than we were doing already. It has been a real team effort and a great year of raising health awareness throughout our workforce.”
Cell Pack Solutions specialise in the design and manufacture of custom made battery packs with currently 2,500 unique designs, establishing long term relationships with its customers.
Recognitions such as these would have typically been awarded at the South Shields Town Hall, however this has not been possible due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
