AMF Chair Richard Swart Congratulates Britishvolt on Securing Investment for New Electric Car Battery Plant in the Region

Richard Swart, Chair of the Advanced Manufacturing Forum, said: “The Advanced Manufacturing Forum sends many congratulations to Britishvolt on securing £1.7bn of private funding. This is great news for the region, with the prospect of up to 3,000 high-quality jobs on-site and an estimate of up to 5,000 jobs being created across the supply chain. The electrification, clean power, and the wider sustainability agendas are all areas in which our members are increasingly focused and the AMF looks forward to building close links with BritishVolt and assisting it in whatever way we can as it becomes a hugely important part of the North East business scene.
