AGMA Awards Contract to Reprotec in Successful AMF Member Collaboration
AMF member AGMA, a world leading solutions provider in industrial cleaning and the manufacture of sterile and non-sterile biocidal disinfectants and cleaning products, corrosion prevention and protection, sought the services of fellow AMF member Reprotec, a contractor of specialist resin flooring.
The connection between Reprotec and AGMA was made at the AMF’s Manufacturing Market, in November 2017, which allowed AMF members to identify potential customers and suppliers, through describing their products, services and business needs. Through networking at the event, John Holmes, Managing Director of Reprotec, met John Taylor, Financial Controller of AGMA. AGMA invited Reprotec to visit their head office in Haltwhistle, Northumberland to discuss an upcoming remedial project for one of their cleanroom floors. The meeting also provided Reprotec with the opportunity to learn more about AGMA’s products.
Reprotec began the project with a thorough assessment before repairing and applying a resin floor finish to the cleanroom. The project consisted of corrective work to a cleanroom floor, that had been installed by another provider several years ago and overtime had blistered. Reprotec’s extensive experience in this area meant they were able to provide the specialist solution that AGMA required.
The work was professionally completed, on time and to budget. The connection between AGMA and Reprotec only happened due to the link created through the AMF and the networking that was generated from the Manufacturing Market. Up until then AGMA had to use contractors from outside the region.
John Holmes said of the event: “The AMF is an excellent networking organisation, it enables the right people to get in touch with the right companies, facilitating and enabling them to work together.”
The AMF aims to provide members with as many business opportunities as possible, from facilitating initial meetings between members, to hosting networking events, like the Manufacturing Market, which have the primary purpose of encouraging member collaborations. Reprotec and AGMA’s recent business together is a great example of the opportunities available to companies interested in AMF membership.
Adam Holland, Business Development Manager at Reprotec, said: “The project was very straightforward as AGMA had prepared the work area well, which meant that the project could be completed exactly to plan.”
Due to the fantastic results of the AGMA cleanroom floor project, both companies hope this is the beginning of a long and successful working relationship. After learning more about AGMA’s products, Reprotec is now exploring the possibility of utilising AGMA’s product range.
AGMA is also developing new ranges and expanding into new markets – including e -commerce and is looking to use the experience and knowledge of Reprotec for the benefit of both companies.
