MANUFACTURING FORUM LAUNCHES SUCCESSFUL PROCUREMENT EVENT
We successfully launched our first procurement event which was held at Jarrow Hall in South Tyneside on 15 November 2017.
The Manufacturing Market was launched with the aim of further encouraging member collaboration and creating growth opportunities within the North East manufacturing sector. Around 40 AMF members and preferred suppliers attended the event including companies such as Northumbrian Water and Siemens.
The fully interactive and facilitated procurement event invited attendees to describe their main products or services and list their most pressing needs, helping them to easily identify potential customers and suppliers. Preferred suppliers of the AMF also had the opportunity to present a one-minute speed pitch to showcase their company, products and services.
Jack Hanwell, manufacturing sector development manager, said of the event: “I am thrilled with the success of the first AMF Manufacturing Market. We have received exceptionally positive feedback from attendees who, during the event, made invaluable business connections and were introduced to potential sales and collaboration opportunities.
“As the voice of manufacturing in the North East, we continually strive to create growth and collaboration opportunities for our members and the wider North East manufacturing industry. We have already seen high demand for this type of event and will be hosting more next year.”
The AMF will host two Manufacturing Market events in 2018, for more information keep an eye on our social media channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook,
