January Monthly Meeting

Date: Wednesday 16 January 2019

Time: 12.00-2.00pm

Location: Clarion Hotel Boldon, Boldon Business Park, Boldon Colliery NE35 9PE, United Kingdom

We are delighted to invite you to our first monthly meeting of 2019 which will focus on the development of the International Advanced Manufacturing Park, spanning Sunderland and South Tyneside.

The IAMP is a £400m, nationally significant scheme which will build on the North East’s reputation as a manufacturing centre, enhance its standing as an export champion and secure its position as a hub for new technologies, particularly in the low carbon and electric vehicle sectors.

As a designated ‘Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project’ (NSIP) by the UK Government, the IAMP is expected to support economic growth, generating conditions for private sector investment of more than £300 million.

With superb infrastructure and transport links, it is predicted to deliver 392,000m2 of developable floorspace and 7,200 new jobs by 2027.

Our guest speakers will include:

Anthony Clitheroe, Regional Development Manager at Henry Boot Developments and John Scott, Corporate Lead for Business, Employment & Skills at South Tyneside Council. Both companies are involved in the development of the IAMP.
