We are delighted to invite you to our first monthly meeting of 2019 which will focus on the development of the International Advanced Manufacturing Park, spanning Sunderland and South Tyneside.
The IAMP is a £400m, nationally significant scheme which will build on the North East’s reputation as a manufacturing centre, enhance its standing as an export champion and secure its position as a hub for new technologies, particularly in the low carbon and electric vehicle sectors.
As a designated ‘Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project’ (NSIP) by the UK Government, the IAMP is expected to support economic growth, generating conditions for private sector investment of more than £300 million.
With superb infrastructure and transport links, it is predicted to deliver 392,000m2 of developable floorspace and 7,200 new jobs by 2027.

Anthony Clitheroe, Regional Development Manager at Henry Boot Developments and John Scott, Corporate Lead for Business, Employment & Skills at South Tyneside Council. Both companies are involved in the development of the IAMP.
Anthony Clitheroe, Regional Development Manager at Henry Boot Developments
Having joined Henry Boot Developments in 2014 from DTZ, Anthony has extensive experience in strategic property development with a particular focus on the employment sector. He also specialises in developing new opportunities, land acquisition and negotiating joint ventures across the region.
Anthony is currently involved in the delivery of several major projects, including the IAMP and Markham Vale, a strategic employment site comprising of 200 acres, which was launched in 2008.
John Scott, Corporate Lead, Business Investment at South Tyneside Council
John is an economic development specialist with over 20 years’ experience supporting and developing businesses in the North East.
John is currently working on the development of the IAMP, which will lead to the creation of 7,200 jobs located on a 150 hectare employment site.
As usual our meeting is open to non-members who are interested in finding out more about the AMF and what we do to enhance and develop the manufacturing sector in the North East. However, priority will be given to members if the event is oversubscribed.
