Marketing Forum

Accelerating Digital Transformation

Date: Thursday 25 February 2021

Time: 11:00am – 12:30pm

AMF member and strategic marketing partner, Horizon Works will be delivering the first Marketing Club of the year for AMF members and the wider manufacturing community, which will be focussed on Accelerating Digital Transformation – reshaping marketing for a changing landscape.

The Coronavirus pandemic has pushed many companies into reviewing and re-energising their marketing activities. Traditional routes have been closed off and product offerings have been moulded to a new economic landscape.

New technologies have been adopted quickly and businesses have needed to rapidly adapt to ensure they are still being seen, heard and understood.

The Advanced Manufacturing Forum’s next Marketing Club – hosted by AMF marketing partner and B2B marketing specialist Horizon Works – will look at how you can use digital marketing tools and platforms to your advantage to engage effectively with target audiences and drive revenue.

Introduced by Horizon Works Managing Director Samantha Vassallo, the session will take a close look at animation, film and other visualisation tools and demonstrate how they can be used in a business world where face to face meetings, expos and conferences are still some way off.

We’re delighted to welcome our guest speaker for this event, Barry Robison, Director of Marketing and Product Management at globally-renowned manufacturer Miller International Ltd.

Barry will take attendees on a journey across Miller’s digital marketing transformation, from planning to delivery – and provide an insight into the pandemic’s effects on the North East-based company’s marketing activities.

He will show how Miller has adapted to the absence of large international trade shows and embraced new ways of promoting its earth moving attachment products digitally, and he will reveal how (and why) the company has changed its website and messaging for a new era.

Richard Holmes, Account Director at Horizon Works, will present a case study on how animation has helped Martel Instruments – a leading equipment manufacturer for sectors including healthcare and automotive – to promote its VIDA product.

VIDA is a data collection technology solution for lab, medical and scientific environments and was previously marketed at international exhibitions, and demonstrated in person. The case study will show how a digital solution can help businesses overcome the challenges created by the Coronavirus pandemic – and enhance their marketing activities.

The event will also feature a Q and A session with Barry Robison and Samantha Vassallo.
